Website Links
One of my favorite railroads is the Denver & Rio Grande Narrow Gauge but all of the Colorado 3 foot gauge lines have a soft place in my heart. Below are some other good websites that focus on the narrow gauge.
Narrow Gauge Sites:
NGDF - Narrow Gauge Discussion Forum
The go-to spot on the internet for Narrow Gauge history, news, discussions, etc.
Dave Dye's Remaining DRGW Car List
Dave compiled a list of all remaining narrow gauge equipment. A great resource to see what is still out there.
Steven Haworth's RGSRR.com
A great compilation of Rio Grande Southern links including a fantastic Google Maps.
Friends of the Cumbres & Toltec & Historic Car Database
The legendary volunteer group that keeps all of the historic rolling stock, structures and grounds.
Saving the C&TS in Late 1970
The late Russ Sperry recollection of saving the C&TS in the fall of 1970. A post from NGDF.
Interesting Maps:
RGS Google Map
A direct link to Steve's great RGS Map
Complete DRGW Google Map
Has both standard and narrow gauge lines.
Silverton Branch and Silverton Railroads Google Map
A map that focuses on the 3 lines that ran from Silverton higher into the mountains. It also includes the Silverton Branch on the DRGW.
Western Colorado Railroads Google Map
A map that focuses on western Colorado railroads but he has links there to other maps he did that cover more of the state.
Dave Dye's Exploration Maps
Dave Dye also does a lot of right of way exploration and makes some great maps from it! While now there are bing maps warnings on them, they are still very useful.
